I’ve never been happy with the way we go over Big-O notation in class. I’ve tried lecturing. I’ve tried videos. It just never seemed to click.
But yesterday while looking for something else on YouTube this video popped up in my recommended feed and it’s one of the best intro explanations for Big-O that I’ve found. It does a really good job explaining the concept without any code. She uses Winston the pidgeon and a farmer mowing a field before moving into pseudocode examples.
