You’re in your classroom and want to give your students a few minutes to work on an assignment. You’re probably going to want a timer.
Here are a few online timers that I’ve used over the years. If I missed your favorite, let me know in the comments.
This one is my go to timer to project on my whiteboard. Just do a Google search for timer and you’ll find a timer widget above all of the search results.
What’s nice about this one is that it’s clean and simple. No ads and it’s easy to use. Just type in the time and click start. You can go full screen with the square icon on the bottom right of the timer.
Before switching over to Google, I used online-stopwatch.com. Again, it’s really simple and easy to use.
Another popular one at my school, e.ggtimer.com is an easy to use online timer. Like the others, enter your time and click start.
If you’re just using timers that are on even minutes or halves there’s a pretty good shot that there’s a YouTube video available.
I don’t use these, mostly because you have to find one that’s exactly the time you’re looking for. But they’re out there.
And if you’re looking for something that works off the computer as well, Amazon has a ton of classroom timers.
